This is a lovely Chinese Pistash natural edge bowl made from a tree in Moraga, California. The tree was cut down in early 2010 by a homeowner and the bowl was started by another woodturner who said, "The wood is too hard for me!" So I finished the bowl and enjoyed how smooth cutting the wood was. The bowl can be used for serving salads, crackers, chips, candy, and other such items. It is finished with a clear, food safe finish which also enhances and shows off the interesting character of the wood. Clean the bowl after each use with warm water and mild detergent. Wipe dry immediately.
