The wood for this Camphor Natural Edge Bowl was from a Sacramento California tree taken down in August 2007. The homeowner had the 90 foot high camphor tree taken down because of roots in the sewer system. The wood was given to many woodworkers in the Sacramento area. The bowl can be used for serving salads, crackers, chips, and other such items. The bowl is finished with a clear, high gloss food safe finish which also enhances the color of the wood and should last for many, many year. Clean the bowl after each use with warm water and mild detergent. Wipe dry immediately.
